Running an independent business usually means switching between many roles in a single day: florist, packer, manager, courier coordinator, and customer support. While usually manageable, during peak periods, such multitasking may affect the quality of your work and productivity. Our new Order Capacity Management feature helps you manage the workload and minimise delays. It’s a simple way to decide how many orders you can successfully deliver within 30 minutes.

Now, you can plan the day in advance. Let’s review the main benefits and the process of setting up.

The Familiar Feeling of the ‘Order Rush’

While it feels good to be in demand, being overloaded with orders can also create pressure, leading to mistakes. More mistakes – higher likelihood of receiving low ratings.

Our goal at Flowwow is to help you manage your workload more efficiently. Order Capacity Management defines the number of orders you can comfortably deliver at a specific time. That way, you can stay productive and welcome new customers without falling behind.

What is Order Capacity Management (And How Does It Work)?

It’s a flexible limit stating how many orders you can complete during a certain time. For example, you can decide to deliver 5 orders between 3 and 3.30 pm. Our system will recognise the limit and make sure you don’t receive more than 5 requests for that period.

Limits don’t affect your visibility on Flowwow. Your customers can still place orders and find your shop via global search. Once a slot is fully booked, new requests will be redirected to other available time slots – during the same day or the next, depending on your schedule.

An important detail: the limit reflects the maximum possible number of orders. For example, if you choose to complete 10 orders between 11 and 11.30 am, you will get no more than 10 orders for this period.

Your Benefits: Quality, Reliability, and Peace of Mind

Quality and reliability go hand-in-hand when it comes to sellers. This feature is designed to improve your workload and minimise late deliveries – leading to better customer reviews. Used wisely, it’s a planning tool for transparent scheduling and predictable workdays. Especially around holidays, weekends, and other busy periods.

Protect Your Quality and Reputation

Customers return when they trust your quality and timing. By setting realistic order limits, you give yourself enough time to prepare each bouquet or gift set and send it for delivery while maintaining your best quality of work. Amazing quality leads to positive reviews; positive reviews improve your ratings and visibility.

Ease Peak-Time Stress and Prevent Burnout

With up to 42% of small business owners reporting experiencing burnout, it’s obvious this ‘beast’ is better avoided. Distributing your orders throughout the day ensures that your workload remains steady and manageable, mitigating the risk of stress. Moreover, it’s perfect for arranging some ‘buffer time’ and accounting for any possible emergencies.

By limiting the number of orders per slot, you have enough time to double-check important details and complete the tasks at your own pace. After all, a balanced schedule is kinder to your health.

Cut Down on Late Deliveries and Cancellations

Late orders and last-minute cancellations are stressful for everyone. Most importantly, they negatively affect your ratings and customer satisfaction. With enough time for each order, you reduce the risk of having to cancel, change the delivery period, or rush through the finishing touches. This leads to a more reliable experience for your customers – and a higher chance of them returning again.

How to Get Started (A Simple Walkthrough)

Setting up Order Capacity Management can be completed from your Seller Profile. Let’s take a look:

  1. Go to your Profile and choose ‘Delivery Limits’.
  2. Decide which days and time ranges you wish to limit. Slots are 30 minutes long – you can select as many as you need throughout the day.
  3. Set a maximum order limit. Think about how many orders you can realistically deliver during 30 minutes.
  4. Confirm your settings.

There is no strict upper limit for the number of orders; however, we advise careful consideration. Consider how many orders you can successfully complete without rushing through them. A thoughtful, honest look will help prevent delays and avoid late fees.

What To Keep In Mind During Setup

  1. Buyers can see all available time slots when placing an order. If their first choice is full, they will be redirected to the next open slot.
  2. Even when a particular slot is full, your shop stays visible on Flowwow. Customers can still view your products and schedule orders.
  3. You decide when capacity limits apply. Outside of these periods, orders are assigned without restrictions.
  4. You can increase your limit, reduce it, or turn it off completely and reset later.

Conclusion: Your Partner in Sustainable Growth

Flowwow’s Order Capacity Management tool is built to help you work smarter, not harder. Decide how many orders you can complete throughout each day, keep your quality of work at its finest, and continue impressing your customers just like before. As a result, your schedule becomes more predictable and manageable – leading to fewer seller-side delays and cancellations.
