With the Delivery Zones feature, you can define particular areas with set delivery costs and times. Select the locations that suit you for delivery, including nearby cities.
Did you know? Flowwow reveals that a properly organised delivery zone system can boost conversion rates by 10-15%. This happens because customers prioritise lower delivery fees and shorter waiting times when deciding on a seller shop.
How do I set up a delivery zone?
Effortless! Just follow these simple steps:
1. Access the web version of your account and navigate to the Profile section. From there, go to Delivery Conditions and then select Delivery Zones;
2. Choose the 'Add Delivery Zone' option to proceed;
3. Complete the fields for the newly created zone:
- Distance from the shop: The kilometre radius of the designated zone. You can also adjust this area manually on the map shown to your right.
- Delivery fee: The charge for delivery within the selected zone.
- Delivery time: The longest possible time required to deliver to any location within this area.

Fill in the remaining fields to complete the delivery zone setup and view it on the map. Once you're finished, click the Save button. You can modify the boundaries of the zone if needed.

The Advanced Settings feature allows you to establish special delivery terms for customers who meet a specific spending threshold. For instance, it can offer free or discounted delivery within a designated area.
As an example, offering free delivery on orders exceeding 300 pounds requires setting two specific conditions:
- First, for purchases between 0 and 300 pounds, the delivery cost will remain at the standard rate.
- Second, for orders from 300 pounds upwards to any large amount (such as one hundred thousand or a million), the delivery fee will be set at 0 pounds. If high-ticket items aren't part of your range, large orders are less likely. In that case, the second condition can be considered as ‘From 300 pounds to any amount’.

Additionally, the Delivery Intervals tool allows you to manage the volume of orders received. While aiming to provide the most convenient delivery experience for customers, this can sometimes lead to an unintended consequence: clients may place more orders than can be handled. To prevent overburdening the shop, the workload can be adjusted by increasing delivery charges during busy hours, encouraging customers to choose a different time for their orders.

Adjust the slider to set a suitable number of orders per interval, such as three. As a result, the fourth customer placing an order during the selected interval can either pay a little extra for delivery or choose a different time. Each time slot can be configured individually. For instance, you can assign a maximum of 3 orders between 9 AM and 10 AM, 5 orders for the 10 AM to 11 AM period, and another 5 for the 11 AM to 12 PM window.

What are the key benefits of Delivery Zones?
Let’s take a closer look at the numerous advantages of this versatile feature.
- Customisable delivery settings on a map. You can adjust the distance from the shop in kilometres and also modify the area’s boundaries by repositioning the points along the border, offering greater precision in selecting the desired zone. In addition to choosing areas inside or outside the city, you can add specific neighbourhoods.
- Delivery conditions tailored to each zone. You not only define the calculation parameters but also design your own logistics map, assigning up to 7 delivery zones. Each area features specific boundaries, costs, and delivery times. Should zones overlap, the fee will be calculated in order, with the rate of the first zone taking precedence — for example, if Zones 1 and 2 overlap, the charge will be based on the rate of Zone 1.
- Automatic tracking for both delivery and product assembly. Upon ordering, customers have the option to select the nearest available delivery time or schedule it for a later period during the store’s working day. The nearest time is calculated by adding the product assembly time to the delivery time, based on the customer’s address zone.
For instance, if a customer places an order at 12 PM and the assembly takes 30 minutes, with the delivery address falling within Zone 2, which has a 60-minute delivery time, the total time is 90 minutes. Therefore, the nearest available delivery window would be between 1 and 2 PM. - Automatic cost calculation when placing an order without an address. In this case, you should reach out to the recipient to confirm the delivery address and enter it into the order. The delivery charge will be determined automatically, and the customer will receive an invoice for the additional delivery payment.
Note: Ensure that you enter the delivery address before updating the order status to ‘Courier is out for delivery’, as failing to do so will prevent the automatic invoice from being generated. We also advise against dispatching the order before the customer settles the invoice. If the order is delivered without payment for the delivery, you'll have to rely on the client’s integrity. - You will not receive orders from areas outside your delivery zones. If a customer’s address falls outside the chosen zones, your shop will not be visible to them in the catalogue. You have control over the delivery areas for incoming orders.
Note: If a client views your item in the collections (without providing an address) or through Flowwow's social media, you might receive an order from outside your delivery zone. In such cases, you have the option to either accept or decline it.
In conclusion
The Delivery Zones tool enables you to customise your processes based on your preferences, location specifics, and pricing policy. Fixed prices, precise calculations, and an optimised logistics system provide you with full control over the delivery process, leading to excellent service ratings and satisfied customers.
